Why KW?

Powered by a mission to help real estate agents build careers worth having, businesses worth owning and lives worth living, Keller Williams Realty now stands as the 2nd largest real estate franchise in the United States. In early 2012 they plan to announce the #1 spot. Since 2005 Keller Williams Realty has grown 30% in agents, 40% in market centers (offices), 21% in closed sales, and 11% in closed GCI. With almost 80,000 associates and 701 offices, the company’s unique business models and systems are based on a belief that the company exists to support its agents.
Founded in 1983, privately held Keller Williams Realty International has a unique profit-sharing system that encourages all associates to become stakeholders in the profitability of individual market centers, helping to fuel the company’s rapid growth trajectory. KW is the only company in the nation that has gained agents AND market share since 2006. Our company is now bigger, stronger, and more profitable. With Ever wonder why? Talent follows talent. That's the premise upon which Keller Williams Realty was founded. Incredibly, this company also has no debt, relying on the old fashioned business moniker: do it only if you can afford it. A fun fact: our business model is being studied at Harvard Business School.
Often described by co-founder and chairman, Gary Keller, as “a training and coaching company that just happens to be in the business of real estate,” Keller Williams Realty is uniquely devoted to providing market-leading training while supporting associates with tools to capitalize on the ever-changing real estate environment.
Keller Williams is made up of full time sales professionals and supporting staff that are carefully selected to be a part of our firm. Only 40% of those interviewed are offered a sales job. To stay on our staff all agents and staff must exhibit a propensity to improve in their skills. At Keller Williams we have a saying that goes: “We don't do that here” and we stand by it. Our policy manual guarantees our professional standards. Our belief system is posted throughout our office, and is here on this page. Our rapid growth trajectory is a result of our unique culture, team spirit and a passionate conviction to serving our clients with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. We have been in California less than 8 years and our office now has 230 professionals, the largest real estate brokerage in Pasadena.
If you are a licensee and wondering why someone would join KW, let me share some of my thoughts. After 18 years in the business, I now expect my broker to do a few things: help me with ideas, tools, and strategies. I also think my brokerage should be transparent in everything they do. I believe that sharing office profits helps all the office agents and their clients because this creates a culture of sharing, helping, and group selling. I also think a brokerage shouldn't have money as their first or second priority because this may interfere with our fiduciary duty, and integrity winds up taking a back seat. I really like the fact that locally and nationally Keller Williams holds their belief system above profits. Come into any Keller Williams office and you will see our belief system in the lobby. Does your brokerage prominently display what they believe in? It is no wonder why this brokerage attracts more talent, and is growing faster and is more profitable than any other national franchise. There isn't anything slowing it down.
If you'd like to find out more about our company, call me. We have massive amounts of training available, opportunities to build a very productive team, a culture that believes in sharing ideas and strategies, many opportunities in management and to open franchises. We are capping out at 850 national franchises in the next few years, and once we hit our cap, we will build each market center. We give back to our local communities with many giving events including a national company-wide service day called RED (Renew-Energize-Donate) Day where we sacrifice a day of precious income to help someone locally. Yes, this is a different kind of real estate company.
If
you are a property owner, or want to buy, you should interview at least a few
agents and ask them about their company. It makes a big difference who you
contract with. Ask what type of training your agent is offered, ask if their
management pushes them to use their affiliated services like escrow and title
or if you have the unpressured freedom to choose what's best for you. Ask them
if they'd recommend their own brokerage if you were interested in a real estate
career. These are fair questions. Look for the most technologically advanced
brokerage, find out who has the best resources and choices available to you
that aren't dictated by budget constraints and corporate interference. Real
estate brokerages and their agents are not equal. Interview at least one KW
agent and you'll be impressed. I was. That's why I'm here.
Thank you for taking the time to read
